The number of containers of disposable examination gloves refused by the Food and Drug Administration jumped to a 12-month high in April. Twenty-five containers (an estimated 62.5 million gloves) were refused, continuing an upward trend that has persisted since the FDA began enforcing new glove standards for examination gloves last winter.
With all the recent news regarding Swine Flu, we applaud the FDA for its foresight in improving examination glove quality.
